 طولاني‌ترين واژه در زبان انگليسي بلند‌ترين کلمه انگليسي که تا به حال شنيده‌ايد چند حرف داشته است؟ مطمئنا به اندازه‌اي نبوده که براي خواندن آن سه ساعت و نيم زمان صرف کنيد! به گزارش ياهو، عده‌اي واژه Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious را که برگرفته از فيلم "مري‌پاپينز" است، طولاني‌ترين واژه در زبان انگليسي مي‌دانند، اگرچه هيچ معني خاصي نداشته و شايد تنها يادآور خاطرات کودکي آن ها باشد. اما در حقيقت اين واژه 34 حرفي طولاني ترين واژه‌اي نيست که در انگليسي وجود دارد. طولاني‌ترين واژه در زبان انگليسي نام علمي پروتئيني در بدن انسان است که تيتين (Titin) نام داشته و خود از ساختاري بسيار طولاني برخوردار است. نام علمي اين پروتئين بلند‌ترين واژه‌اي است که مي‌تواند در زبان انگليسي يافت و اثبات اين موضوع نيز فيلمي است که چند روز گذشته توسط مردي بر روي يوتيوب قرار داده شد. اين مرد براي اداي اين واژه 189 هزار و 819 حرفي، در حدود سه ساعت و نيم درحال خواندن بود. اين اولين باري نيست که فردي تلاش کرده اين واژه طولاني را بخواند، اما اين فيلم ويديويي تنها شاهدي است که از تلاش براي خوانده شدن آن در دست است. اين فيلم ويديويي بيش از 38 هزار بار بر روي يوتيوب به نمايش درآمده است که البته بعيد به نظر مي‌رسد تمامي اين 38 هزار نفر تمامي اين فيلم سه ساعت و نيمه را در نهايت صبوري تا انتها تماشا کرده باشند.     در زبان انگليسي بلندترين واژه بامعني، واژه اي است 27 حرفي به معناي "مخالفت با اساس به هم ريزي کليسا" Antidisestblishmentarianism اما بايد خبر را بدين گونه تصحيح کرد که کلمه 189 هزار حرفي، درواقع انگليسي نيست و به زبان لاتين است که معمولا کلمات علمي را با اين زبان مي سازند و تنها مختص به زبان انگليسي نيست. تا پيش از اين کلمه البته، واژه ي ديگري رکوردار بود: Pnemoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoknosis با 40 حرف که نام يک نوع بيماري سل است که کارگران معدن با آن مبتلا مي شوند. منابع : سایت کانون فرهنگی آموزش و ممتاز نیوز   i      ,طولاني‌ترين واژه در زبان انگليسي ...ادامه مطلب

One of these incoming Germanic tribes was the Angles,whom Bede believed to have relocated entirely to Britain. The names 'England' (from Engla land "Land of the Angles") and English (Old English Englisc are derived from the name of this tribe—but Saxons, Jutes and a range of Germanic peoples from the coasts of Frisia, Lower Saxony, Jutland and Southe Sweden also moved to Britain in this era Initially, Old English was a diverse group of dialects, reflecting the varied origins of the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms of Great Britainbut one of these dialects, Late West Saxon, eventually came to dominate, and it is in this that the poem Beowulf is written. Old English was later transformed by two waves of invasion. The first was by speakers of the North Germanic language branch when Halfdan Ragnarsson and Ivar the Boneless started the conquering and colonisation of northe parts of the British Isles in the 8th and 9th centuries . The second was by speakers of the Romance language Old Norman in the 11th century with the Norman conquest of England. Norman developed into Anglo-Norman, and then Anglo-French – and introduced a layer of words especially via the courts and govement. As well as extending the lexicon with Scandinavian and Norman words these two events also simplified the grammar and transformed English into a borrowing language—more than normally open to accept new words from other languages.
